I had no or coding-skills back those days I made jejmr patches, but learning was fun and I added features I personally needed. Time to say goodbye for BBS-scene, at least in my case. Download latest jejmr patch. You will also need jmr's sources.

WHAT IS IT?

Jejmr is a small patch for jmr, which adds following features to jmr (free QWK offline mail reader):

• Tag- and sigline highlighting with customisable colours.
• /Slanted/ _underlined_ and *bolded* words highlighting with customizable colors.
• Possibility to use initials of original author in quote prefix.
• New sorting option 'Stripped subject' (sorts messages by subject, but ignores possible re: beginning).
• Possibility to define default sort order.

ABOUT VERSION

Jejmr's version numbering is connected to jmr. First three or four numbers indicates version of jmr jejmr is meaned to. Last part (-jeXX) indicates version of jejmr.

INSTALLING

Unpack jejmr's and jmr's sources to directory you want. Go to that directory and patch jmr's sources by 'patch -p0 < jejmr-x.y.z-jeXX/patchfile' command. Build and install jmr like guided in sources of jmr.

UPGRADING

In case you are upgrading previous version of jmr you can add following keywords to jmrrc (those are quite self-explanatory):

tagline_color
sigline_color
slant_color
underline_color
bold_color
default_sort
sortoder (possible values are thread, date, author, receiver, subject and stripped)

To use initials in quoteprefix, add $ to quoteprefix keyword (ie. "quoteprefix = $>_").

WHAT ELSE?

Jmr is copyrighted by Jukka Vuokko. It's distributed under GPL what makes possible to distribute this modified version. It is possible to get these features to official jmr-releases, when this code has been tested enough.
